2. Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted on servers of STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you open it, the server automatically processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, the requested file, browser and operating system, and the previously visited page. This is needed to deliver the website and keep the server secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). STRATO processes this data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR) and deletes the logs according to its retention periods.

3. Wishlist on your device

When you save a creature with the heart, the website stores this in your browser (localStorage, entry “bulumu-web.merkliste”). The list is never sent to the server or to anyone else. This is strictly necessary for the function you asked for (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

4. No third-party services

All files – images, videos, fonts and program code – come from the same server. No content is loaded from other providers, and there are no analytics or advertising services.

5. Email

If you write to us via one of the email links, we use your message and address only to reply to you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and delete them when they are no longer needed for that.

6. Creature album

Links to the creature album lead to the Bulumu app, which has its own privacy policy.

7. Bulumu Games

This policy also covers the games at bulumu.com/games. They are hosted on the same server (see 2) and likewise load nothing from third parties (see 4). Game progress and settings – levels reached, Bulumon team, ongoing matches, sound on or off – are stored only in your browser (localStorage, entries starting with “bulumu-games.”). So that the games also work offline and as an installed app, a service worker keeps the program files in your browser's storage. None of this is sent to the server or to anyone else; both are strictly necessary for the function you asked for (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete everything by clearing the site data of bulumu.com in your browser or by removing the installed app.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of your data, and the right to object (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Please contact the address above. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg.
